<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a part mounting method and device capable of simply and accurately managing part information without consuming time even in the case of mounting a part by using a multiple part supply device together and improving mounting efficiency even in a production having many different sorts. <P>SOLUTION: In the case of selectively extracting a required part P from a part tape 51 of each of part supply cassettes 29 arranged in parallel on a part supply part 31 of the body of the part mounting device 100 by a part shifting means 23 and mounting the extracted part P on a prescribed position of a substrate 5, single part supply cassettes 29A for supplying a single part to a part supply position PL and a multiple part supply cassette 29B for simultaneously supplying a plurality of parts are arranged on the part supply part 31 in a mixed state, the part information of each part P to be supplied is extracted from a memory built in each part supply cassette 29, the cassette 29 concerned is identified and the part P is extracted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
