<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method and a driving circuit of a lamp in which the rush current at the start of lighting of a lamp driven by the PWM control can be suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: In the driving method of this lamp, the current value flown to the lamp 1 at the start of lighting is suppressed by providing a microcomputer 15 to output at the start of lighting at least one of the signal out of the PWM duty ratio and the PWM frequency of the PWM control signal, which is smaller than the PWM duty ratio, or larger than the PWM frequency, at the time of the rated-output lighting of the lamp 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
