PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for a network scanner device that can reflect a read mode which a user frequently uses as a default value. SOLUTION: A database mail server device 3, more than one client PCs 4 and 5, and the network scanner device 1 are connected through a network. The network scanner device 1 checks the database mail server device 3 for a mail from a device administrator, and a communication information of the network scanner device 1 delivering for the client PCs is stored in a log, and based on the stored communication information, the read mode which is frequently used by the user on the network scanner device is set.
