PURPOSE: A microorganism Corynebacterium ammoniagenese CJXPK001 having 3,4-dihydro-DL-proline tolerance and producing 5'-xanthylic acid is provided, thereby growing the microorganism in the presence of high concentration of solute, so that 5'-xanthylic acid can be produced in higher yield and concentration. CONSTITUTION: Microorganism, Corynebacterium ammoniagenese CJXPK001(KCCM 10340) having 3,4-dihydro-DL-proline tolerance, is a mutant of Corynebacterium ammoniagenese KFCC 10743, grows in the presence of 30 mg/l or less of 3,4-dihydro-DL-proline and produces 5'-xanthylic acid.
