INK-JET TYPE SPACER FOR LCD

PURPOSE: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display Device) is provided to improve the efficiency and to share the isolating function and the protecting function of a light irradiation to a TFT(Thin Film Transistor) by containing a spacer. CONSTITUTION: A first substrate(230) has an array element containing a color filter layer(232), a TFT(T) and a pixel electrode(248). A second substrate(260) is opposed to the first substrate at a regular interval and a common electrode is formed. A liquid crystal layer(250) is included between the first substrate and the second substrate. An ink-jet type spacer(200) is formed corresponding to the TFT and maintains the separating distance between the first and the second substrates. Thereby, processes are simplified by eliminating a black matrix for the TFT. Moreover, the yield rate is improved by using the ink-jet type spacer as a protecting layer.
