PURPOSE: A method for managing BLF(Busy Lamp Field) information of PBXs(Private Branch Exchanges) in an inter-working system is provided to receive extension status change information from each system subscriber by using a BLF repeater, and to transmit the information to corresponding systems. CONSTITUTION: A user A's endpoint(110) and a user B's endpoint(130) respectively notify a BLF repeater(120) of information that subscribers of each system(110,130) register and release subscribers of the other systems(110,130), and notify the BLF repeater(120) of changes of subscribers included in each system(110,130)(S101,S102). The BLF repeater(120) collects BLF information transmitted from each system(110,130) to transmit the collected information to corresponding systems(110,130), and collects and manages the information transmitted when the subscribers included in the other systems(110,130) are registered in a button or released. To report statuses of each system(110,130), each system(110,130) transmits its own extension status report to the BLF repeater through a UDP(User Datagram Protocol), and the information received from each system(110,130) is collected in the BLF repeater for multicasting the collected information to each system(110,130)(S103).
