<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an image forming apparatus preventing the shortening of the life thereof, a computer program, and a computer system. <P>SOLUTION: In an image forming device in which a developing unit having a storage means capable of storing various kinds of information is attachable/ detachable and which includes, for transmitting/receiving information for the storage means with the attachment/detachment of the developing unit, an abutting member capable of mutually abutting on the mounted developing unit, the number of the abutments in which the abutting member and the developing unit abut on each other is counted for each developing unit.
