PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a computer equipped with the features for managing software licences, which prevents an installed OS within an auxiliary memory from initializing to operate, if the memory is attached to the computer without the OS licence, with an OS licence management being started, when the OS is installed. SOLUTION: A computer equipped with features for managing software licences is provided with an auxiliary memory, which can store a partition content identifier to specify an OS installed in the partition, the plurality of which are able to install the OS, as well as a memory, that stores licence information to postulate whether licence is given or not for each partition content identifier to specify the OS to be managed for a licence status. The computer, equipped with the features enables the OS to operate, if the licence information corresponding to matched identifiers postulates that the licence is given since the partition content identifier of the auxiliary memory matches the partition content identifier of the memory.
