PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indirect interface. SOLUTION: The indirect interface is used between a processing device and a display device, and the number of pins used in the indirect interface can be reduced by following a given rule set. An address signal and a data signal are multiplexed through an address/data bus of the indirect interface so that a single pin set can be used as an address line/pin or as a data line/pin as well. In a preferred embodiment, a processor interface means transfers a signal between an indirect interface system and an external processing device, and a display interface means transfers the signal between the indirect interface system and an external display device.
