PURPOSE: A method for separating by-products generated from continuous casting process is provided. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of mixing an organic solvent with byproducts such as iron oxide and slag film generated from continuous casting process, followed by agitation, wherein the byproducts are contaminated by lubricant oil; applying ultrasonic wave of greater than 10 HHz to the mixture obtained in above step in order to disperse the lubricant oil into the organic solvent; filtrating the suspension obtained in above step in order to separate slag film and iron oxide; settling filtrate obtained in above step to settle lubricant oil in organic solvent down in order to separately recover the organic solvent and the lubricant oil after separation of slag film and iron oxide; and magnetic separation of the mixture of iron oxide and slag film.
