<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of the light-emitting part due to moisture and oxygen in the air, and improves durability in an organic EL device having an organic EL panel, in which a light-emitting part including an organic light- emitting material is laminated on a glass substrate 10. <P>SOLUTION: The organic EL panel 1 as a whole is housed in a case 2 and a transparent plate 21 is installed airtight on the front part of the case opposed to the glass substrate 10 using a plastic packing 22.
