<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly process settlement operation in the payment of a commodity price to enhance efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: When a register operator performs the reading operation of a bar code attached to a commodity by use of a barcode reader 12, the price of the commodity is automatically calculated. When the calculation of the prices of all commodities is ended, the commodity price is claimed to a contract customer which has an account in a financial institute through Internet 100. In the financial institute, the account ID of the contract customer is read, it is determined whether the balance of the charged amount or more is held in the account or not, and when it is confirmed that the balance of the account is the charged amount or more, a commodity price automatic withdrawing means 16 withdraws the commodity price from the account. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
