<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable each selling store to grasp sales trends in the whole market of merchandise while holding the sales data of other selling stores in a competitive relation in secrecy. <P>SOLUTION: A market information providing system is a computer system for offering information to merchandise shipping destinations by using the physical distribution situation information of the merchandise shipping origin which ships merchandise to at least two shipping destinations, and is provided with a merchandise information storing part, a shipping destination information storing part, and a storing part for storing information on the physical distribution of the merchandise of a shipping origin. This market information providing system is further provided with a change quantity calculating part for calculating the physical distribution situation change quantity on the basis of the physical distribution situation information of the two or more shipping destinations, and a comparing part for comparing the change quantity with the physical distribution situations of the shipping destinations so that the information can be provided to the shipping destinations of merchandise by using the comparison result of the comparing part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
