<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a bad effect in the illumination apparatus having an illuminance sensor that comprises a pilot lamp in the vicinity of an illuminance sensor. <P>SOLUTION: This is an illumination apparatus having an illuminance sensor 1 that detects the surrounding illumination intensity by means of a phototransistor and a cds element and controls lighting and turning off of the light of a light source 3 such as an incandescent lamp by a control section (microcomputer) 2 in comparison with the reference illumination intensity value. It comprises a pilot lamp 4 by, for example, a light-emitting diode in the vicinity of the illuminance sensor 1. And when this pilot lamp 4 is on, the added portion of the surrounding illumination intensity after the lighting of the pilot lamp 4 is deducted from the surrounding illumination intensity detected by the illuminance sensor 1, and comparison is made with the above reference illumination intensity. And it also has a human body sensor, and lights the light source 3 based on the condition of detecting the human body. The pilot lamp 4 is normally turned on when other apparatuses such as a ventilation fan connected to the illumination apparatus is operated, but it may be turned on as a monitor lamp at night without any connection with other apparatuses. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
