PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile machine by which time and costs for communication can be reduced. SOLUTION: The facsimile machine capable of both-side communication is provided with a means for selecting both-side communication, a means for reading and encoding the pieces of document information on a front side and a backside in order and storing them in a memory when both-side communication is selected, a means for transmitting the both-side picture of a transmission document, a means for detecting whether the transmission document is both-side information, and a means for changing transmission control by identifying whether the transmission document in one-side information or the both-side information to change the transmission control of transmission information including the both-side information when selecting the transmission of the both- side document by first communication and re-communication after a communication error.
