PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the safety when an airplane travels on a taxiway and to reduce the operation of an air traffic controller. SOLUTION: An airport light controller of the present invention is provided with a plurality of airplane sensors 15 to 17 for detecting airplanes 13 and 14 traveling on the taxiway 12 and outputting detection signals 22 to 24, taxiway lights 18 to 21 for instructing the airplanes 13 and 14 to follow a traveling direction with lighting-up, stop lights 31 to 33 for urging the airplanes 13 and 14 to stop with lighting-up, a position decision function for deciding the positions of the airplanes 13 and 14 on the basis of the detection signals 22 to 24 outputted from the airplane sensors 15 to 17, and an airport lighting-up/putting- out control function for controlling the lighting-up/putting-out of the taxiway lights 18 to 21 and the stop lights 31 to 33 so as to ensure a safety distance being a prescribed isolation distance between the respective airplanes 13 and 14 on the basis of the positions of the respective airplanes 13 and 14 decided by the position decision function if the plurality of airplane sensors 15 to 17 output the detection signals 22 to 24.
