PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that can rapidly download programs to mobile terminal devices, irrespective of their number. SOLUTION: A data transmitter 20, upon receiving the instruction for program download start from a host computer 10, transmits an annunciation signal indicating the start and then starts the transmission of the program. A portable telephone 40 of one side receives the annunciation signal and stores the program received after receiving the signal in memory.
