PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make holding force of a lock pin 60 at a real fixing position as expected force when inserting the lock pin 60 up to the real fixing position and holding the lock pin 60 after holding the lock pin 60 by locking pins 53 and 54 at a temporary holding position, in a mounting structure for an assist grip G providing the pair of locking pieces 53 and 54 to be inserted into a mounting hole 55 of a vehicle body panel P on mounting seats 6 and 7 of a grip body 1 and inserting the lock pin 60 between the locking pieces 53 and 54. SOLUTION: The lock pin 60 are held at the temporary holding positions on the mounting seats 6 and 7 by engaging a projection part 61 for temporary holding formed at the width direction center part on a base end side of the locking piece 53 and a temporary engagement recessed part 67b of the lock pin 60. Subsequently, when fixing the mounting panels 6 and 7 to a vehicle body panel P, the lock pin 60 is held at the real fixing position by engaging projection parts 58 and 58 for real holding formed at a width direction outward of the locking piece 53 as compared with the projection part 61 for temporary holding on a distal end side of the locking piece 53 and real engagement recessed parts 67a and 67a of the lock pin 60.
