PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper string being excellent in view of recycling by using waste paper as a material and having excellent decorativeness and workability without necessity of reworking for recycling the waste paper. SOLUTION: The paper string comprises a waste paper layer 2, and a water base paint layer 3 colored with a toning agent, sequentially laminated. The paper string further comprises an ink layer 4 containing a plurality of colors and a water base paint layer 6 colored with the toning agent, sequentially laminated on the surface of the water base paint layer 3a formed on an upper side layer of the paper string to conduct a camouflage pattern.
