The method fixes the ends of travel of clamping rings (16), stacking cage (14), table (18) and slide (20). Initially, the movements are started by hand, individually and in succession. Having reached the required travel, which is product-dependent, the end positions reached, are transmitted to the control system (25) by pressing a button. During production, travel approaches these positions. An Independent claim is included for the corresponding equipment, which is equipped with a controller and individual push buttons for each path of travel. A further button causes each end position to be stored.
