alpha-MSH INHIBITOR ORIGINATING FROM TEA EXTRACT AND WHITENING AGENT, ANTI-AGING AGENT AND MMP-1 PRODUCTION INHIBITOR CONTAINING THE SAME, AND SKIN CARE PREPARATION CONTAINING THESE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a pharmaceutically active component with excellent whitening and/or anti-aging effects, having good α-MSH inhibitory effect which prevents and ameliorates pigmentation of the skin by inhibiting melanogenesis caused by α-MSH, also having MMP-1 production inhibitory effect which prevents and ameliorates wrinkles and slacks of the skin by inhibiting MMP-1 production caused by α-MSH, and also to provide a skin care preparation which is stably formulated with these components.

SOLUTION: The whitening agent, the anti-aging agent and the skin care preparation containing the same include an extract derived from tea as the α-MSH inhibitor and the MMP-1 production inhibitor.
