PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map distribution system easily obtaining necessary map data and indicating on a on-vehicle navigation device.

SOLUTION: A detachable memory medium F is inserted in an information provider device D in a gas station A, a map data around the gas station is written in the memory medium F and the map data written in the memory medium F is set in the on-vehicle navigation device to display the map and the like.
