<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for light source optimization for imaging of an imaging device such as a digital camera which make it easy to adjust a light source for imaging such as a stroboscopic unit used for indoor photography or night photography and easily perform lightness balance between a background and a subject and color temperature control. <P>SOLUTION: A light source optimizing filter 2 made of liquid crystal, etc., is arranged in contact with or very closely to the entire surface or part of the light source 1 for imaging and electrically controlled to display a panel patterns 14, 15, 16 or 17, a color patterns 18, 19, 20 or 21, or a combined image of a panel pattern and a color pattern on the light source optimizing filter 2; and the light from the light source 1 for imaging is transmitted through the light source optimizing filter 2 to irradiate the subject 22, so that the light quantity, light quality, and color temperature of a photographed image can easily be controlled. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
