TOOL FOR SHUTTING OFF CONDUIT BRANCH PORTION AND NON- BLOWING WORK METHOD USING THE TOOL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform non-blowing work by adopting the existing equipment as it is, even in a method in which the circumference of a branch hole formed in a conduit while fluid is kept to be flowed in the conduit is temporally released by necessity from a non-blowing work bag.

SOLUTION: A tool 1 is inserted into the branch hole A1 of a main pipe A. When an operating portion 10 disposed outside the pipe is operated, an upper pressing piece 11 approaches a lower pressing piece 12 to compress a solid elastic member 4 and thereby enlarge the diameter of the elastic member 4 to be larger than the branch hole A1 in the main pipe A, so that the elastic member 4 is brought into press-contact with the branch hole A1 by bounce from the inside of the pipe by a spring member 6. Therefore, the branch hole A1 is sealed from the inside of the pipe.
