PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder head gasket with an ion sensor for detecting the combustion condition of a combustion chamber with the cylinder head gasket laid between a cylinder head and a cylinder block, and a combustion condition detector. SOLUTION: Insulating seats 32 are provided on both faces of a metal thin plate 31 to form the cylinder head gasket 3. The metal thin plate 31 in the combustion chamber 4 is put in contact with combustion gas and its outer periphery portion is made to partially extend from the peripheral edge of the cylinder block 2 so that signals can be picked out of an extension portion 33.
