IN-CORE VISUAL INSPECTION APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-core visual inspection apparatus being excellent in operability and stability inside a core vessel and making it possible to easily obtain pictures of good quality. SOLUTION: A weight 10 reaching the bottom of the core is suspended from the top of a reactor pressure vessel 40 by means of a weight lifting rope 20 and a camera mounting mechanism 30 is supported against the rope 20 in such a manner as to be capable of vertical movement and rotational movement. Images of any part of the inside of the pressure vessel can be picked up by a TV camera provided in the camera mounting mechanism 30 to enable visual inspection using the in-core images. Since the rope 20 serves as a guide, stable images can be picked up. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
