PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rationally eliminate the influence of a condition that a battery terminal voltage drops due to a load current of a starter motor when an engine is automatically restarted from a state that engine rotation is automatically stopped, in control operation in an idle stop device automatically stopping the engine rotation without driver's operation when designated conditions including a vehicle stop are formed. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a delay means delaying the operation of a starter motor by a very short period when the operation timing of the starter motor and the timing of a set operation of a transmission device overlap in engine restart.
