PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To readily measure Streptococcus mutans in saliva or dental plague gathered from the oral cavity in high sensibility without carrying out complex operations such as culture. SOLUTION: This antibody has a reactivity with the Streptococcus mutans≥1000 times those with Streptococcus gordonii, Streptococcus salivarius, streptococcus oralis, Streptococcus mitis and Streptococcus sanguis.
