PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dual leading-shoe brake system having firm structure enabling easy assembling. SOLUTION: In the brake system, a pair of shift levers 10 engaging with brake hoes 8 are arranged between upper side and lower side anchor members 42, 14. There is provided a fluid pressure drive cylinder 30 engaging with upper end portions of the shift levers, and the brake shoes are pressed outward by each of the shift levers. The brake shoes engage selectively with upper side and lower side anchor members and are subjected to brake force according to rotating direction of a drum brake 6. A parking brake lever 56 for parking is arranged so as to engage with an adjusting member 48 of an automatic adjustment, thus making a dual leading shoe action perform during brake action.
