<p>The invention concerns a method and an installation for drying fibrous material (14). The method comprises a step which consists in ventilating (1) through the fibrous material (14) located in a drying zone (13), very moist air. The moisture content of the moist air is less than that inside the drying zone, its pressure close to atmospheric pressure and its temperature is higher than that of the material to be dried. The method further comprises a step which consists in recovering (22, 6) the condensation heat of the water vapour extracted from the fibrous material to heat the moist air, providing leaks (9, 10, 36, 43) between outside ambient air and said ventilation circuit upstream and downstream of the drying zone enabling mass and heat exchange. It is possible to ensure thermal and mass balance without expelling into ambient air large amounts of moist air.</p> |
