<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the arrangement of a time correcting timepiece capable of receiving a radio wave signal including a time code and a sound wave signal including the same time code as that included in the radio wave signal. <P>SOLUTION: A switch 2s is connected to a bar antenna 2a at the time of reception and a first electric signal matching a long standard radio wave received by the bar antenna 2a is processed from a voltage control amplification circuit 2b by a control circuit 2m, which in turn acquires time information if it can be acquired. If no time information can be acquired from the output of the bar antenna 2a, the switch 2s connects to an ultrasonic wave sensing element 2j and a second electric signal transmitted from a time signal relay 1 and matching an ultrasonic signal received by the ultrasonic wave sensing element 2j is processed from the voltage control amplification circuit 2b by the control circuit 2m in the same way as the first electric signal.
