PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric compressor capable of surely fixing a stator iron core to a housing. SOLUTION: This electric compressor A houses a compressor and a motor driving the compressor in the housing. The housing 3 is provided with a cylindrical center housing 3b for housing the motor and a rear housing fitted in and fixed to one end of the center housing. The stator core of the motor is fixed to the housing with its one axial end abutting on a step part formed in the center housing and its other end abutting on one end of a rear housing 3c, which is fitted in one end of the center housing, so as to be clamped between the step part and the one end.
