PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake passage connection structure of an internal combustion engine superior in detaching workability of two intake passage members. SOLUTION: In this intake passage connection structure, an air intake pipe 10 constituting an intake passage of an internal combustion engine is connected with a connection pipe 20 fitted to the air intake pipe 10. The air intake pipe 10 has a projection bar part 15 along its peripheral direction, and a notch 16 lower than the height of other portions of the projection bar part 15 is formed at one part of the projection bar part 15. A groove 25 engaged with the projection bar part 15 is formed along the peripheral direction of the connection pipe 20 under a condition that it is connected with the air intake pipe 10. The groove 25 is structured in a manner that the depth of the portion corresponding to the notch 16 is shallow corresponding to the height of the notch 16, under a condition that it is connected with the air intake pipe 10.
