PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To greatly reduce manpower and time, required for cleaning work, and overcome various kinds of conventional problems such as residue of a deposit, pollution of clothes and removal of a lid. SOLUTION: A side ditch cleaner is equipped with a travelling part 2 which can travel in a side ditch S, a main brush part 3 which is arranged in a bottom part of the travelling part 2 and sweeps away the deposit R on a bottom surface Sd of the side ditch S by rotating on a horizontal shaft, a driving part 4 for rotating the brush part 3, and a tank part 5 for housing the swept-away deposit R.
