PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent peeling of a display layer 3 while simplifying a surface treatment process for the surface 1a of a synthetic resin molding 1. SOLUTION: The surface treatment method for the synthetic resin molding comprises making the display layer 3 having low conductivity adhere to the surface 1a of the synthetic resin molding 1, and then electroplating the surface 1a of the synthetic resin molding 1 and the surface 3a of the display layer 3, while inhibiting formation of an electroplated layer 2 onto the surface 3a of this display layer 3, but forming the electroplated layer 2 onto the surface 1a of the synthetic resin molding 1. The synthetic resin molding has the display layer 3 having low conductivity coated so as to inhibit the coating of the electroplated layer 2, while having the electroplated layer 2 coated on the surface 1a of the synthetic resin molding 1. The surface 3a of the display layer 3 is lower than the surface 2a of the electroplated layer 2 surrounding the display layer 3, to form an exposure space 4 on the surface 3a of the display layer 3.
