PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism allowing easy tandem parking and site turning by using an electric carrier in a convenient mechanism allowing individual steerings of front wheels and rear wheels. SOLUTION: Steering mechanisms are provided not only for a front wheel unit 4 for the electric carrier 2 but also for a rear wheel unit 6. The drive and steering of the rear wheel unit 6 are conducted at the same time by mounting a hydraulic motor 46 on a driving wheel 40 installed to be offset from a turning shaft 48. When the electric carrier 2 is made to travel, the turning shaft 48 is fixed and driving force is applied to the driving wheel 40. On the other hand, when the turning shaft 48 is made to turn, the turning shaft 48 is unfixed and a driving force is applied to the driving wheel 40, whereupon torque is generated to start the rotation of the driving wheel 40 about the turning shaft 48.
