PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upper support made of urethane which can be produced easily and has a structure suitable for mass production. SOLUTION: A shock-absorbing body 16 is formed of foam urethane molded body, the original shape of which is straight cylindrical. An inner metal fitting 14 has a cylindrical part to be positioned concentrically with an outer metal fitting 12. The inner metal fitting 14 is press-fitted and fixed in the cylindrical part of the shock-absorber body 16 to obtain an assembled body 18, which is held in an internal accommodation space formed between upper and lower metal fittings 12a, 12b composing the outer metal fitting 12. The cylindrical part of the urethane molded body composing the shock-absorber body 16 is pressed axially from both sides by the metal fittings 12, 16. Both ends of the cylindrical part are pressed down respectively in the radial direction in a U- shape in the cross-section so as to assume an annular form extending in the peripheral direction.
