PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phosphor sheet manufacturing device enhancing the quality of a phosphor layer in such a way that the radiation characteristic of the phosphor layer is enhanced for high-quality radiation images by constructing the high-quality phosphor layer with a very fine structure on a phosphor sheet, in the manufacture of the phosphor sheet on which the (stimulable) phosphor layer is formed by vacuum deposition. SOLUTION: The phosphor sheet manufacturing device for forming the stimulable phosphor layer on a sheet-shaped base by vacuum deposition includes a vacuum chamber, a vacuum evacuation means for evacuating the inside of the vacuum chamber, an evaporating means for phosphor materials forming the phosphor layer, and a means for exciting at least one of the phosphor materials evaporated.
