PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of detecting whether there is a component in each pocket even if an arrangement pattern is used in which the pockets for storing the components are arranged in a matrix form. SOLUTION: A reflection block 379a and reflection block 379b are each provided between a pocket 371a and a pocket 371b and between a pocket 371c and a pocket 371d, these being arranged in the detecting direction of component detection sensors 381a to 381d. The reflection block 379a reflects sensor beams passing through the corresponding pockets 371a and 371b and returns them to the sensors 381a and 381b, respectively. The reflection block 379b reflects sensor beams passing through the corresponding pockets 371b and 371c and returns them to the sensors 381a and 381b, respectively. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
