PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the dispersion of an output signal voltage E near an initial position of an accelerator position sensor being a rotation angle detector among products due to the positional deviation of a magnetic circuit 20 from a core 30 by devising the shape of the magnetic circuit 20. SOLUTION: Yokes 21 of a magnetic circuit 20 face each other across a core 30 and have flat parts 21b parallel to the axial line V passing both magnets 23. If a positional deviation occurs between the magnetic circuit 20 and the core 30, this constitution keeps a point always fixed at the core 30 side in a minimum gap forming part between the circuit 20 and the core 30 and hence the direction of a flux M flowing in the core 30 always perpendicular to the flat part 21b. Thus the positional relation of the direction of the flux M flowing in the core 30 to a magnetic detection gap 32 of the core 30 can be held constant, thereby reducing the dispersion of output characteristics near an initial position of an accelerator position sensor 1 among products.
