PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of easily and accurately orienting a new photograph image through the use of new and old digital photographs, automatically detecting changed sections in planimetric features through the use of the results after the orientation, and reflecting them in a drawing. SOLUTION: This method is provided with a display controller 5, a reading part 6, a coordinate reading part 7, a bundle orientation computing part 8, an error determining part 9, a reobservation instructing part 10, a database 11 for the results of new photograph orientation, etc. The old photograph and the new photograph are displayed on a screen 12, and corresponding points (tie points, pass points), etc., on the photograph images are specified on the screen. Through the use of specified coordinates of the old photograph image and the new photograph image, bundle orientation is performed on both of the old photograph and the new photograph to obtain the location of each point on the new photograph to an orientation model of the old photograph of a bundle orientation model and form an modified image.
