PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a releasing mechanism for a safety device, which allows operation of equipment even in a state where a door is opened, in which an operating condition of the safety device can easily be recognized, and which is inexpensive and highly reliable. SOLUTION: The safety device comprises: a limit switch 16 for switching from/to conduction to/from non-conduction to a switching circuit 14 by moving a switch member 12; and a pushing member 18 for moving the switch member in a direction of conduction to the switching circuit when the door is completely closed. The safety device is released by an abutting member 24 moving the switch member to perform the conduction to the switching circuit and having a projecting portion 22 brought into abutment on the door to prevent the door from completely closed.
