PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable gas compressor having a long life, capable of reducing loss in shaft power and improving volume efficiency independent of changes in operating conditions. SOLUTION: A rotating shaft 6A includes a through hole 101 which passes through its center, and a communicating hole 103 which communicates with the through hole 101 is provided on the right end side of the through hole 101. The communicating hole 103 is communicated with the outside of an armature 33 via a communicating passage 105. A small space 107 is formed at the right end of the rotating shaft 6, and the small space 107 is communicated with the outside via a groove 109, the communicating hole 103, and the communicating passage 105. On the other hand, a rear end chamber 115 is formed between the left end of the rotating shaft 6 and a lip seal 113, and the rear end chamber 115 is communicated with the outside via the through hole 101, the communicating hole 103, and the communicating passage 105.
