PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sill and a structure installing the sill capable of omitting the installation of a throating piece attached to the sill to simplify the constitution around the sill, promoting workability and the external appearance and enlarging an indoor space of the structure by using the indoor side space of the sill as a duct for wiring and piping while making longitudinal load resistance in the sill sufficient. SOLUTION: The sill installed on a foundation 1 supports load influenced on a wall material 2 or the like. A longer sill body 6 is formed of an installation piece 3 installed on the foundation 1, a rising outdoor piece 12 rising from the end on the outdoor side of the installation piece 3, a mounting piece 5 forming a mounting section for mounting the wall material 2 by extending from the rising outdoor piece 12 and the throating piece 4 over the back of the wall material 2 raised from the end on the indoor side of the mounting piece 5. A vertical plate 7 supporting the longitudinal load is provided on the indoor side of the sill body 6 at an interval in the longitudinal direction of the sill body 6.
