PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positional changing device of a multistage shelf board capable of extending a clearance between a shelf board on the bottom stage and a shelf board on the second stage from the bottom in advance of stocktaking work and capable of eliminating malfunction, working failure, etc., without improving dimensional precision, etc., of each part more than necessary. SOLUTION: A clearance forming means 33 devised to form the clearance S to insert a head end part of a push-down member 16 between the shelf board 5 of the bottom stage and the shelf board 5 on the second stage from the bottom by slightly lowering a lower surface of the shelf board 5 on the bottom stage by absorbing it on the head end part of the push-down member 16 in the positional changing device of the multistage shelf board devised to pull and lay down the shelf board 5 on the bottom stage by inserting and lowering the push- down member 16 between free end parts of the first stage and the second stage from the bottom of the multistage shelf board 5 in an upward inclined state.
