The invention relates to a method for executing IP-based services which are initiated by an application server and are supplied to a subscriber of a mobile communication network without being requested. According to the inventive method, (a) a data connection is requested by the subscriber via the mobile communication network; (b) a data connection is established in the mobile communication network, between the subscriber, a control node (SGSN), and an interface node (GGSN); (c) a first message relating to the established data connection is sent to a switching node connected to the mobile communication network; (d) a second message relating to the established data connection is sent from the switching node connected to the mobile communication network to the application server; (e) an IP service is initiated by the application server and supplied to the subscriber.
