<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain image density while preventing toner density from increasing owing to excessive toner supply right after an initial agent of a developer is set. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU 2 of a copying machine 1 is equipped with a reference target value setting part 21 which sets toner density detected when the developer is set up as an initial toner control level value, an absolute humidity calculation part 22 which calculates absolute humidity in the use environment of the apparatus, an environment correction control part 23 which sets a toner control level value corrected according to the calculated value of the absolute humidity, a toner density control part 24 which controls the toner density in a development part 154 according to the toner control level value obtained by correcting the detected value of the toner density by a toner sensor 1544, and a recorrection part 27 which increases the corrected toner control level value right after the developer is set up. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
