PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compounding calculation apparatus for colored coating materials, a compounding calculation method for colored coating materials, and a program thereof where the spectral reflectance and compounding ratio can be accurately estimated and calculated. SOLUTION: An optical density calculation section 15 calculates by using a calculation formula: N=(F(R))xfor obtaining an optical density by using an arbitrary function F(R) of spectral reflectance R and an arbitrary coefficient x. A spectral reflectance calculation section 17 calculates a predictive spectral reflectance which is a spectral reflectance calculated by substituting values from 0.1 to 5 at intervals of 0.1 into the coefficient x in a calculation formula (formed by deforming the above formula) to obtain the spectral reflectance R and substituting a predictive optical density into the optical density N. A color difference calculation section 18 calculates a color difference from a coated item spectral reflectance obtained by measuring the color of a coated item and a predictive spectral reflectance of each value of the coefficient x. A coefficient extraction treatment section 19 extracts the value of a coefficient x which minimizes the calculated color difference. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
