PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polysiloxane polyol and a curable coating composition containing the polysiloxane polyol, the polysiloxane polyol having an improve adhesion, a long pot life, a short tacking time, and mar resistance, an excellent appearance, film hardness and corrosion resistance when existing as a ingradient in a ambient-cure a thermal-cure coating composition. SOLUTION: A method for preparing the polysiloxane polyol comprises a step of hydroxylating a polysiloxane containing the polysiloxane polyol having formula (1) or (2) and silicon hydride with the use of a mixture of an alkenylpolyoxyalkylene alcohol.
