ENCAPSULATED MOTOR

The invention relates to an encapsulated motor that comprises a rotor with a rotor shaft, a casing with a cylindrical wall, closed at the front end, and a stator, the cylindrical wall of the casing being inserted between the rotor and the stator. In order to detect the rotational position and optionally the speed of the rotor, a resolver is integrated into the encapsulated motor, which comprises a resolver rotor that co-rotates wit the rotor and a static resolver stator. The cylindrical wall of the casing also extends between the resolver rotor and the resolver stator. The resolver allows a precise detection especially of the rotational position of the rotor but also of its speed, thereby allowing a motor control such as is known from the field of electronically commutated d.c. motors.
